Sermon

Born in the city of Gothenburg in Sweden, young trio the Touch are releasing their new and beautifully dark single "Sermon" on July 11th on Kitsuné!

Directly emerging from the club scene that prevailed in Gothenburg in 2006, The Touch recorded a couple of EPs on DJ Nibc's label Trunkfunk and toured across Europe before getting back to work to produced “Sermon” their new single which is also one of the highlights of the latest Kitsuné Maison 11 compilation.

Carried by Andreas's huge musical skills, Johan's artistic sensitivity, and the tender – though singing harsh words – voices of Olov and Lina, "Sermon" breathes the oxygenless air of a dystopian atmosphere, and tells the tale of a civilisation on the fringe of collapse.

Or you could just call it a Kraftwerkesque tune about brokenheartedness, never putting The Touch's great love for disco into any doubt. The remixes by Chad Valley, Renaissance Man, Seekae, Cosmonaut and DJ Nibc offer different visions of the tracks, some more vivid and others even darker.
